‘For the love of music’

Music and Piano tuition from Maggie Whitton

About me

Hi I’m Maggie!

Music is one of life’s joys! So that’s why fun and laughter are at the heart of my lessons.

Welcome to my website, where the joy of piano lessons meets a fun and engaging learning experience! If you’re searching for a piano teacher who will make time fly by while having fun, you’ve come to the right place. My pupils frequently exclaim, “Is my lesson already over?”

We understand the importance of creating a friendly and comfortable environment, especially for young learners. I spend the time to put children at ease, ensuring that they feel confident and excited about their lessons.

But that’s not all – I strive to make piano lessons exciting by incorporating cool and engaging activities. In just one term of lessons, your child will have played familiar tunes, learned pieces from memory, enjoyed glissandi (those swooping sounds across the piano keys), and explored the magic of playing with the pedals.

Furthermore, I believe that perseverance is key. I am proud that the majority of my pupils stick with me through their teenage years, demonstrating a ten-year investment in their musical journey.

Did you know that playing the piano has incredible cognitive benefits? Neuroimaging shows that it activates your whole brain and has been proven to raise IQ by seven points. Not only will your child develop musical skills, but they will also experience improved learning in other areas.

Join me in celebrating the joy of music! Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience, I am here to guide you every step of the way. Get ready to be amazed as your child pesters you to listen to their latest masterpiece!
